I came here for a dinner with friends and we were a party of 11, sat in the private room area, tucked away at the back of the resturant. The room was kind of dim and near the restroom. We did take a while to order as we were waiting for everyone to come and got started on the appetizer, which I assume is the large antipasto combo. The server definitely was successful in convincing us to get it. We also got an additional antipasto (just the crunchy bread because it was good). I did not expect the large antipasto to be $82! While it was split between 11 people, it's not bad but I'd say it was overpriced for what it was. That friday night we came, pizza was not available which I was looking forward to eating, because something was broken. I opted for the pesto pasta and it was interesting. The noodles were short instead of long but the texture was good! Al dente. I'm not a tomato person at all unless it's ketchup or in a burger.... but these cherry tomatoes were amazing. Super rich and tasty and paired well with my dish. I do wish that they offered parm cheese... it would make everything taste 10x better. I tried a little bit of my friend's lobster ravioli and the gnocchi. The lobster ravioli came with 5 pieces fyi. Very fresh and the sauce is good. As for the gnocchi, it was chewy, doughy and the texture was good. Overall, from the service to the ambiance and food, i'd give it a 3.5/5.

Beautiful atmosphere and one of the most authentic Italian restaurants I've been to here in the Bay Area. Carlo was our server and paid wonderful attention to us and made sure we had everything we needed! I will be back to try more items on the menu!

We came here for date night and the restaurant was super cute on the inside. Our service was ok. At first our server came off kind of rude, but they became nicer as our meal progressed. I'm mot sure if it was because it was busy and they were stressed or not. We got the fritto misto, trofie al pesto, and scialatielli scarpariello. The calamari in the fritto misto was good, but the zucchini was soggy. Both the pastas are super well made, the pasta is al dente and the sauces are flavorful. I loved the pesto, but I do wish it had something else in it besides a few tomatoes on the top. I definitely recommend trying once!

Such a cute and quaint spot located in Downtown Campbell. Came here with a large party of 15-20 and it was perfect. Definitely recommend making reservations. They have some outdoor patio seating for small tables of 2-3 which would be great on a warm day. I loved at the art deco, which were filled with illustrations of citrus, coastal views, and memorabilia to capture the essence of Sorrento. Mind you I haven't been to Italy, but it was very cute. Food was fresh and delicious. I got the Linguine de Golfo and enjoyed it. The star of the show was the Cacio Pepe that someone ordered at the table. It's served tableside in a giant cheese wheel which was fun to watch. We celebrated a birthday and one of the server's truly gave a performance of a lifetime - some vocal pipes ha!

It was my first time visiting this restaurant for Father's Day. The host's customer service was average, lacking a bit in friendliness and professionalism. Upon arrival, we checked in but our table wasn't ready, and there was no clear instruction on where to wait. We ended up standing near the door, which was a bit inconvenient we were in the way of servers coming in and out. It would be helpful if they had a designated waiting area to avoid this issue. I unfortunately didn't get a chance to take a picture of the appetizers we ordered, but the calamari was delicious while the clams were ok. The special New York steak was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the prosciutto mushroom pizza. My sister-in-law raved about the lamb dish, which was so tender. All 3 desserts we ordered were also pretty delicious. Overall, the food was good, and I would be interested in returning to try their pasta dishes. Additionally, our server provided excellent service, which added to our overall positive experience.

It was my first time here and we ordered the day's special ravioli in lemon sauce along with a salad and a couple of cocktails. The espresso martini was exactly how it should be - refreshing with the sweet coffee liqueur, and Smokey whiskey had a distinctive aroma and undertones of earthiness. The ravioli sounded promising on the menu, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. The ravioli was flavorful, but the lemon sauce was overly tangy, almost overpowering the delicate taste of the pasta. However, I must commend our server for their prompt and courteous response when I expressed my dissatisfaction. They promptly removed the dish from our check without any hassle, which was greatly appreciated. We then ordered a dessert (forgot the name) but it was chocolate gelato and was delicious. Although the ravioli did not win me over but I am definitely going to give it another try for other menu offerings. The ambience was of a cute little Italian restaurant.

So a couple years ago, my sister asked me to take her 8 year old daughter on a fun uncle and niece lunch. As a good uncle should, I really wanted to introduce her to as authentic of an Italian restaurant as I could find in Silicon Valley. After doing my due diligence, I found an interesting prospect called Locanda Sorrento in Campbell. There are several other locations in Pleasanton, Danville, Lafayette and Brentwood. It turns out the founder Enzo Rosano is from Naples and his niece Annalise and her partner Rosa manage the Sorrento location. I made a reservation for two and let my sister know I had picked a place. The parking lot is quite small and tight. Only a handful of cars can park there when it's less busy. Otherwise you need to round the block in search of street parking. The exterior of the restaurant is bright blue and white with some nice touches such as the faux shutters and hanging flowers. As you enter, there is a large well-stocked bar that covers the entire width of the front half of the restaurant. There is also a dining area in the back half along with a larger private dining room for about 10 people. The inside of the restaurant feels lively and the staff is welcoming and friendly. My niece and I sat in the back dining area. With the initial bread, it was not your typical olive oil and dab of balsamic vinegar in a shallow plate. Locanda provided a tiny bowl of pesto, which was freshly blended with loads of garlic, grated cheese and basil. We couldn't get enough of it, it was addictive! We looked over the menu and ultimately decided to order the Gnocchi Sorrentina, a hearty dish with house made gnocchi in tomatoes, mozzarella, Parmesan and basil for my niece and I was curious enough to try the Trofie Al Pesto, slivers of pasta floating inside an ocean of glorious pesto. My niece enjoyed her gnocchi, although the portion size was too large for her. She gave it a valiant attempt, and ate as much as an 8 year old could. I was also struggling to finish my pesto pasta. It was quite delicious but consuming all of it was also a bit more than I could do. Large portion sizes is usually a plus for almost everyone but I try my best to finish a dish without taking it home. In subsequent trips, I found their Cacio e Pepe to be the highlight of their menu. The waiter rolls out a cart carrying a huge barrel of Parmesan Reggiano. They drop fresh pasta and sauce into the crater and excavate more cheese with a spoon. Then they get busy mixing and stirring the pasta, sauce and excavated cheese. By the time it gets plated and served, it is like a cheesetopia. One bite could whisk you away into Parmesan Elysium. The Fritto Misto aka fried calamari, Polpette meatballs and prosciutto with hearts of palm antipasti are all worth trying. I tried their Picanha cocktail and enjoyed the dark berry tartness and saltiness. They appear to have an extensive wine menu but I'm not really a wine person so I can't judge. My sister later told me that my niece really enjoyed the meal and experience. She also asked to have her next birthday dinner at Locanda Sorrento with our entire extended family. I was a proud uncle!

Amazing experience here on a Sunday night. First of all the freshness and quality of the pastas is unlike anything I have experienced before. The service was something alone that could give this place 5 stars. Immediately we were met with nurturing kindness from our server. And the food.... Absolutely unreal, a type of meal you don't encounter often on dinner outings. The pasta had incredible flavor with textures that came straight from the kitchen. Everything that we order blew us away and the experience alone was enough to make me want to spend everything special event here. 110% recommend this lovely spot.
